Make A Difference

Hi there! Lately, I have been pretty busy with school, exams, and an international competition that I participated in (more on that in an upcoming blog post). In celebration of the closing of my home country's month (Buwan ng Wika) here is a poem that I wrote about contributing to society, and overall, making a difference.

Time will come
when questions will rise
about life,
and how it may tip the scales
in favor
of another.
But one must have tenacity
against the blunders
to be able to catch on
about how equilibrium
will work in its own time.
Although, that shouldn’t
stop us from
chasing our dreams,
achieving our goals,
and making a difference.

I pledge to this generation,
to place my best effort,
into helping make the world
a better place.

We are the children,
the leaders,
the hope of tomorrow.
And with that power
as well as responsibility,
we can lead
the future.

Realizations

Silence and silence and not so silent silence
whispers and stares and clicks
words and dots and bridges and clocks
what is there left to see or do
what is left
for an entrance and a way
might come one day.
I glance and they chatter
their voices blocking the clatter
the clatter of the dozens of other things
happening at once.

I stop and it all clicks.
I remain as I am.

Words

String them together
And tie them up
You never know what you'll discover
Or what will come up

The beauty of it
Is the emotion
And the message
Is what makes it unique

The beauty
The emotion
The message
The words
The poem

As to Be Seen

The dark sky loomed across as if it would never end
as I tried to imagine what lay ahead
when all that I could see was darkness.

Then a sudden burst of light came ahead.

The fog lifts and the mist clears as you are woken from your slumber.
You ask your self,
"What happened? Was it just a dream?"
Then it dawns on you that nothing is ever as it seems.

You walk ahead of a crowd that never seems to move
as it holds and straps you down
keeping you from what you wish to see
as well as what you wish to feel.

To feel, to feel
to be able to know what is right and what is wrong.
They tell you,
"No! That cannot be. That cannot happen. That dream cannot ever occur."
But you wish it would.
You wish that the world be so limitless that it shan't ever hold anything back.
That it shall be revealed that neverland is real and faeries exist,
that one day a letter will come and sweep you away
away from the past and the present.

Then the moment comes when you really truly do wake.

And you see everything as it is to be seen.

An Original Poem

Tears

These wet drops of pain and sorrow

Or simply a happy goodbye

Remind mad that there is always
tomorrow

And that all I can do no is sigh.

For the past is past and the truth is out there

Buried in the loss and the lies

Seeing with no compare

Give me hope.

Give me serenity enough to sleep well tonight.

Dramatic Poem #1

As I never ever have witnessed,
Such beauty and vicinity,
Through time and consciousness.

Hear those voices in your head,
Telling you to go.
But never in a lifetime,
Would you let them dim your glow.

Woeful bows and light streak through,
The hollow darkness and sorrow.
Do not sink too deep into,
The mystery and gluttony of tomorrow.

Live your life as you please,
Waiting for everything to happen.
 By thy soul,thy foe,
Set forth, no woe!

Summer's Glow

The sound of nature filled the air,
as the tides grew low.
The trees with leaves so soft blew away,
away from summer's glow.
As the past flies by I still feel shy,
to let these words expose.
For now I know where else to go,
when I feel to write as so.

Hark, hark! The sun beams!
The tingling of my skin,
as so in my dreams!
For now I have found my peace,
my serenity!
For now I have seen and seen,
what true paradise means!

Poem: The Autumn Blend

Although where I came from,
I do not see,
What I hear, I cannot feel.
Because of the Autumn Blend.

As one walks through the crackling,
Or cackling,
Of the trees,
What I see,
Is the magical Autumn Blend.

A squirrel with a nut,
Makes the cut,
Through the bank in the trees.
As one might see,
Wherever I go,
I can experience the Autumn Blend.

Do you feel the cold?
The oh so chilling cold?
Do you do what you’re told?
Well, I can see where I want to be,
And that is within the Autumn Blend.
