DIY: VISION BOARDS

What is a vision board?
A vision board is basically a compilation of ideas (or visions) in photo form that can be combined together and used as a kind of decor. Also, if you place it in a place where you can clearly see it, it can be a source of inspiration.

STEP 1: COMPILING YOUR PHOTOS
To find photos, I suggest using the following sites:
-Pinterest
-Tumblr
-Instagram

Here are some samples that you can print out!

Tip: Print your very own pictures! Be creative and add quotes to them too. That way, you can practice photo editing and get some inspiration.

STEP 2: FINDING THE RIGHT BOARD
Sometimes, you don't even have to use a board! Sticking your photos directly on a wall is an option as well. Although if you want to have the photos last longer, I highly suggest putting them on the following:
-illustration board
-board paper
-old canvas

Note: When sticking your photos, be sure to use a strong adhesive. You want your visions to last, right? ;) I highly recommend using poster tape or double sided tape for this.

STEP 3: PUTTING THE PHOTOS TOGETHER
I know that this can be overlooked, but I think that this step is very important. The placement of each of your photos can effect how the whole thing will look!

-Group them by theme/color
Be sure too add all the quotes, candid, and more in separate piles to ensure that when you put the photos together to your design, it won't look messy.

-If you want white boarders, make sure that they are evenly distributed.
My initial mistake with my board was that some of my photos had white boarders while others did not. Consider yourself warned.

-Think about whether or not you're going for a classic rectangular design or a heart shaped one.

STEP 3: STEP BACK AND ADMIRE YOUR WORK
Hang up your board with pride! If you want to make another one, go for it! If you've been inspired by this, please tell me so that I'll make more DIY posts. :)
