A Recap on my Recent Reads

Earlier this week, my family and I went on vacation to a place where there is no signal thus no wireless fidelity. This resulted in a book-a-thin otherwise known as a book marathon. In this large sprint I read a total of FOUR books and one book today.

I was able to read a total of around 1,200 pages!

The books that I read were:

by David Levithan and John Green

I made it my quest to read every John Green YA novel out there. This sealed the deal. Although it took quite a long time for me to latch on to the story, I felt as if it was just "okay." This is definitely not my favourite book, but I will recommend it to people who enjoy reading about plays, high school, and discovering yourself. I'd give this book a 3 out of 5 stars.

by Stephanie Perkins

If you know me well, you'd know that I love Stephanie Perkins's novel called Anna and the French Kiss. Thus discovering that she had yet another contemporary novel, I just had to pick it up. I love the setting, the characters, the mood, I just love it----BUT not as much as Anna and the French Kiss. Stephanie Perkins never disappoints as she writes about first love, growing up, and being a teenage girl. She gets it. Whatever "it" is. I have yet to find a way to convince my friends to read this book--believe it or not my mom read this before me. Yep. She's just as big a contemporary fan as I am. :) Maybe YOU should pick this one up as well. I give this book FOUR GLORIOUS STARS out of FIVE GLORIOUS STARS.

by Kate Brian

This book is just a mess full of feelings. When I liked parts of it, I REALLY REALLY liked it. When I DIDN'T like it, I full on GOT EXTREMELY FRUSTRATED AND ALMOST SCREAMED IN FRUSTRATION. I will leave out the spoilers and all for the benefit of those who will attempt to read this book. This book is a three out of five kind of book to me. Share your thoughts in the comments section below if you'd like to.

by Veronica Rossi

Veronica Rossi is an amazing writer and person. I've met her and can truly say that she is such a wonderful person. Thanks to an interview, I got to know her a bit more and even learn that she likes halo-halo. :)
Roar and Liv is a novella set before Under the Never Sky. Roar is one of my favourite characters and it was really nice to get to read from his point of view. This is a must read for any UTNS fan. I give this book THREE POINT EIGHT because I felt as if it should've been longer.

by Ava Dellaira

I started this book not knowing how deep and dark it turned out to be. This book is a work of art. To anyone who loves writing inspirational and sad letters, you'll love this book. A four out of five stars.

THANK YOU for reading this far thus completing the post! Feel welcome to view my other review, rants, and raves on the big,big world of Young Adult Literature. Bye for now!
