THE STATISTICAL PROBABILITY OF LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT

The Statistical Probability
 by Jennifer E. Smith

Excerpt from the book: Who would have guessed that four minutes could change everything?

Today should be one of the worst days of seventeen-year-old Hadley Sullivan's life. Having missed her flight, she's stuck at JFK airport and late to her father's second wedding, which is taking place in London and involves a soon-to-be stepmother Hadley's never even met. Then she meets the perfect boy in the airport's cramped waiting area. His name is Oliver, he's British, and he's sitting in her row.

A long night on the plane passes in the blink of an eye, and Hadley and Oliver lose track of each other in the airport chaos upon arrival. Can fate intervene to bring them together once more?

Quirks of timing play out in this romantic and cinematic novel about family connections, second chances, and first loves. Set over a twenty-four-hour-period, Hadley and Oliver's story will make you believe that true love finds you when you're least expecting it.

I LOVED this book. It was funny, sad, quirky, and BRITISH. YES PLEASE. Hadley and Oliver are both travelling to Heathrow, London, which is one of my favourite places in the entire world. I seriously wish that I'll get to live there in the future. Besides the beautiful setting, I really enjoyed the plot and the characters, Hadley and Oliver were on both the kind of relationship wherein they may squabble and debate over things but in a cute and fun way. It's really refreshing to read a book with such characters. It's wonderful.

I've read two other of Jennifer's books which are the Geography of You and Me and This is What Happy Looks Like. I didn't fully enjoy the latter one because of the flow of the plot and some problems that didn't need to be overhyped. Nonetheless, I LOVEDLOVEDLOVED the Geography of You and Me. Maybe it was because I could relate to Lucy at some point and have always wanted to travel as much as the two main characters have. If you've enjoyed any or even both of those books then I highly recommend that you read this one. :)

Stay bookish!
